Manzana ist eine finnische
Rockband, die im Jahr 2008 ihr 2. Album im Fantom-Studio in Tampere
schrieb und aufnahm. Das Album erschien im August und heißt
Babies of Revolution. Auf myspace kann man die erste Single vom Album,
End of the World und weitere Titel hören. Manzana haben ihr
Debut-Album Nothing As Whole As A Broken Heart im Januar 2007
veröffentlicht und schaffte es bis af Platz 24 der Charts, die
erste Single Falling To Pieces ging auf Nummer 2. Das Debut-Album wurde
in 25 Länern veröffentlicht. 2007 sind Manzana neben Finnland
auch durch Deutschland und die Schweiz getourt. 2008 spielten sie erst
ein paar Shows mit Entwine in Finnland. Danach machten sie mit For
Selena And Sin und Unshine eine große Europa Tournee unter dem
Motto: Female frontet Metal/Rock

Manzana ist eine Pop-Metal Band aus Tampere, Finnland. Die vier kennen
sich seit Jahren und haben ihre musikalischen Wurzeln im 90er
Grunge-Alt-Metal. Sie machen dramatische Musik, elastisch, melodisch
und stark! Die Band wurde im Sommer 2003 gegründet von Henkka,
Heikki und Piritta. Ville kam ein Jahr später dazu und fügte
sich perfekt ein. Sie spielten einen Haufen Konzerte um sich selbst
auszutesten, dann veröffentlichten sie die promo EP „
Nothing As Hole As A Broken Heart“ im Sommer 2005. Das feedback
war gut und einige Lables waren an ihnen interessiert, doch es war kein
wirklich guter Deal für sie dabei. Sie entschieden sich ein Album
mit ihrem eigenen TRC-Records Lable zu machen. Falling To Pieces wurde
als erste Single von TRC am 6. 11.2006 veröffentlicht und ging
direkt auf 3 und dann 2 in die Charts. Das Album Nothing As Whole As A
Broken Heart kam am 31.01.2007 auf den Markt und schaffte es bis auf
Platz 24 in den Charts. Zu Falling to Pieces kam im Februar auch noch
ein Video dazu und ging in den Kids TOP 20 Video Charts auf Platz 13.
Das Album bekam auf breiter Ebene gute Kritiken und die Single hatte
einigen Airplay im finnischen Radio und TV.
Die Band hat den Ruf intensive und starke live Performances zu zeigen
und sie haben einen extremen „heavy“ Sound für eine
Pop-Metal Band! Sie waren zum Interview und zur Video-Vorstellung in
den Sub TV Shows Rautaryhmä und Subbari, Lista-Show (nur video),
MTV 3 Kids Top Show,Voice TV and Music Television Headbangers Ball. Sie
erschienen ebenfalls auf Yle X und Pommiradio. Kleine Internet
Radiostationen haben , durch die Myspace- Kontakte Falling To Pieces in
vielen Ländern gespielt. In Finnland spielten www.noise.fi und
www.pommiradio.fi Manzana lange vor allen anderen und jetzt hat auch
RadioRock die Single in ihrer Playlist.

A Manzana a day keeps the doctor away!
Manzana is a pop-metal band from Tampere, Finland. The
four of them have known each other for years, and feed musically from
the 90´s grunge-alt-metal heritage. They make music that is
dramatic, elastic, melodic and strong. The band came to life in the
summer 2003, by Henkka, Heikki and Piritta. Ville joined the band a
year later, and fit in perfectly. They played a bunch of gigs to test
themselves, and released a promo EP “Nothing a Whole As A
Broken Heart” in the summer 2005. Feedback was very good, and
some labels were interested in signing them, but they didn’t
get a good enough deal with anyone. They decided to make an album with
their own TRC-Records label.
“Falling to Pieces” was released by TRC November 6
th 2006, and it hit the charts number 3 and 2. The Album
“Nothing As Whole As A Broken Heart” came out on
January 31st. 2007 and went on chart number 24. They also released a
video for “Falling To Pieces” in February, and it
went into Kids Top 20 video chart number 13 ,The album has been well
and widely reviewed in the media, and “Falling To Pieces
“has got some airplay in Finnish radios and TV.
The band has a reputation of intensive and groovy live performer, and
they have a heavy live sound for a pop-metal band. The band has visited
this year with interview &video at the Sub Tv Shows
Rautaryhmä and Subbari, Lista-show( video only ), MTV 3 Kids
Top Show, Voice Tv and Music Television Headbangers Ball.
They´ve also attended at Yle X and Pommiradio. Small net
radios have played “Falling To Pieces” in many
countries, due to the bands My Space connections.
